29 days to go!

The grand event of the year (our wedding) is less than one month away. I cannot believe it! It's crazy! I feel like we've been planning for so long and the day is now almost here.

Planning is actually going pretty smoothly (about time!). Just tying up some loose ends. We're in good shape for the big day.

We can't wait to celebrate with everyone!

Episode 2: Krissi and Matt go to MN

As you can see, there are LOTS of pictures from our Minnesota trip below. This isn't even all of the pictures. There were more. But we picked the best/funniest/most interesting.

I was really excited to show Matt around my home state. We crammed a lot into two days(we basically did everything Sat and Sun). Thursday we spent the day at Mall of America. I was trying to find shoes for my wedding. And you have to visit the MoA at least once. If you're in MN, it just one of those things to do. Friday was spent prepping for the wedding and then going to the wedding. Saturday we hit up St. Paul. Sunday we went to Minneapolis. Monday morning we headed to the airport to come back to Florida. Overall, it was a great trip. There's still so much we didn't get to see or do though. Guess that means we'll have to head up there again sometime (soon - I hope!).

Enjoy!

We finished the night at White Castle. Just as the logo says, it's what you crave. At least it's what I crave when I go back to MN. Cheese curds, pronto pups (aka corndogs) and White Castle. Yum-O! Posted by Picasa

After the art fair, we went to visit my twin friends Jessica and Michelle. Jessica was very pregnant at the time. She has since given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Posted by Picasa

This one's for you mom (Suzie). Posted by Picasa

Yep, I had to pose by the cow too. Everyone say "awww." Posted by Picasa

We couldn't leave MN without a cow picture. Granted, it was a fake cow but I'm pretty sure it still counts.  Posted by Picasa

Photoshopped photo...Matt and Krissi at the Uptown artfair (its easier than asking a passerby to take your picture, just splice two together later) Posted by Picasa

If you're careful, the "danger zone" is really not that dangerous. Posted by Picasa

Matt snuck back there too. We had to take quick photos before anyone saw us.  Posted by Picasa

I, of course, had to be a rebel and sneak behind the fence. Really, if they didn't want people back there, they would close that big gap. I think last time Kelly and I were in MN we snuck behind with my dad to take pictures. Posted by Picasa

We found a fellow tourist to take a photo of both of us in front of the falls. We spent a lot of time there. It really is so pretty. Posted by Picasa

Minnesota is somewhat famous for serving lots of things on sticks. I told Matt you could find almost anything on a stick there. This isn't quite what I meant.  Posted by Picasa

The falls. So beautiful. Posted by Picasa

Don't worry folks - I wasn't really going to fall in.  Posted by Picasa

Sunday we went to Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis. Posted by Picasa

After all that, we ended the day at Town Hall Brewery. They were also out of the beer I really would have liked to try, if I remember correctly. Posted by Picasa

This is the old mill district. Most of the old buildings have been turned into housing complexes. The thing jutting out in the back is part of a museum or theater - something like that.  Posted by Picasa

We didn't really take any pictures of the two of us while on that dam tour (ha ha!) so I posed in front of one of the cool bridges near the dam. Posted by Picasa

We took a tour of the lock and dam - just Matt and I since it was the last tour of the day. We didn't get to see any boats passing through, but we did learn all about the process. Posted by Picasa

While meeting up with Craig (I think we toured the campus before seeing him) he suggested we check out the St. Anthony Falls lock and dam and the surrounding mill ruins. So, we did. Posted by Picasa

A drawback to traveling with just the two of us is that we get lots of pictures like these - Matt in front of the sign and then Krissi in front of the sign. There was no one around to take a picture of the two of us. Posted by Picasa

We also drove around the University of Minnesota campus a bit.  Posted by Picasa

In front of Palmer's Bar. Posted by Picasa

Then we met up with my somewhat estranged uncle Craig at his bookstore. Afterward we walked up the street to take pictures by Palmer's Bar. We were going to have a beer there, but one look inside kind of scared us away. Maybe next time... Posted by Picasa
